Children's Spotlight on Ballet: REMEMBRANCES
CC Ballet Reservation Form.pdf
A Ballet in Memory of the Victims of the Holocaust will be presented Friday, April 25, 2014 at 10 a.m. "Remembrances”, conceived and choreographed by Brian Honigbaum, captures the story of the Holocaust through the eyes of a single family. Honigbaum choreographed this historic work in memory of the six million people who died in the Holocaust. His inspiration came from survivor, Michael Vogel, who survived over two years in Auschwitz, one of the most deadly Concentration Camps. The ballet relates the story of the Holocaust chronologically, including such events as Kristallnacht (the Night of the Broken Glass), the Ghettos, the Death Train, and the Gas Chambers. The emotional choreography and music presented in this production will allow the audience to experience the physical, mental, and emotional struggle of this horrible time. Don’t miss this opportunity to allow your students to experience this historic event through the art of dance. See attachment for reservation form.
